Farewell 2013...

The end of the year is here, I can't believe it. Hold on to the precious ones, because we are getting old a little too fast...

Here are some of my best of this year

Happy New Year friends!!

New Years Sale

I am clearing out the shop for new inspirations. I have been craving to make more accessories and I have so many ideas running through my mind that I feel as if I need to start over (well maybe not all over again). I love the pieces I have in the shop now, and sometimes, I have to stop myself from wearing my own product considering that is not good for business.

So, I am having a New Years, Everything must go sale! Take 20% off all orders, earrings, bracelets, hairpins, you name it! Until January 3rd, 2014. All pieces are handmade by me and are one of a kind, nothing is duplicated, to cater to one's individuals style.

Vintage mens...

There is nothing more I love than men's apparel… Considering that men's clothes are a bit more expensive than women's, of course, my best solution is to go thrift shopping and the first section I go is the men's. I find it difficult at times because I am very petite and most pieces are just too big, but I manage, with just a little faith.

Happy Holidays...

Totally wish I had more holiday photos, however, for some reason, I am not into the holidays. Every year I go through a sad faze. I don't know what it is, I want to have a great Christmas, I want to enjoy it with the people I love but sometimes I feel as if this season drains the life out of me over materialism and greed. Every year, you have to top the items you bought the year before, or suffocate yourself with endless shopping. Though, I blame myself for how I feel. I placed this energy in my environment, how did I come to this conclusion? I realized just by walking down 5th avenue in New York City this weekend and awing at the light shows, and remembering how it made me feel. It was a childish happiness feeling that I missed so much. Through every display I felt excitement, then the anticipation kicked in, then that gushy feeling of love and excitement. Maybe that's what I was missing…

Happy Holidays to you all!

Snowed & Cold...

So much snow lately in New York and I've been extremely hesitate to even go outside (hate the cold). However that is inevitable, so the best way I stay warm is layers, loads of them! I use to spend loads of money on coats every year because I some how believed that coats lose their installation after a while, wrong (well after a couple of years). So one trillion dollars later I just starting wearing two of everything, pants, socks, shirts… and even jackets. My favorite layers is this denim and wool, love how the textures look together and the denim jacket helps tremendously to stay warm. In addition, this piece is a must, the oversized scarf. I can't express how much I am in love with this poncho like scarf from H&M; it provides full coverage from the bitter cold.

Some real quick shots here, it was hard trying to pose when rain and snow kept blowing into my eyes, so that means it is time to go home...

Test Run...

I have come to the realization that I cannot depend on anyone to do what I need them to do. Or, considering the person that I am, I really don't feel like depending on persons, only because I don't want anyone to feel as if they are obligated. So, I finally have a tripod and yesterday I decided to try some test shots in my parent's backyard. Though I am not proud of the shots I decided to share them with you anyway. I have to get use to balancing the camera straight because the ground can be unbalanced, other than that its show time. The mysterious person (My partner) behind most of my photos no longer have to deal with my anal attitude, ranting, and yelling because of that perfect shot, now I just can do it myself……………………………... Last weekend I went home to my parents to get away from "that Brooklyn life" (and of course for mamas cooking) which can be so draining. The few days there, I felt tranquil, quiet and at peace…

Dreay days at home...

Been very reluctant to go out lately, just have been in a little slumber and the weather has not encouraged me either. Since school is almost on winter vacation I have to try and get myself out more but I hate the cold, so we are going to need the wrath of God…
