Snowed & Cold...

So much snow lately in New York and I've been extremely hesitate to even go outside (hate the cold). However that is inevitable, so the best way I stay warm is layers, loads of them! I use to spend loads of money on coats every year because I some how believed that coats lose their installation after a while, wrong (well after a couple of years). So one trillion dollars later I just starting wearing two of everything, pants, socks, shirts… and even jackets. My favorite layers is this denim and wool, love how the textures look together and the denim jacket helps tremendously to stay warm. In addition, this piece is a must, the oversized scarf. I can't express how much I am in love with this poncho like scarf from H&M; it provides full coverage from the bitter cold.

Some real quick shots here, it was hard trying to pose when rain and snow kept blowing into my eyes, so that means it is time to go home...

Tis it is...

Test Run...

I have come to the realization that I cannot depend on anyone to do what I need them to do. Or, considering the person that I am, I really don't feel like depending on persons, only because I don't want anyone to feel as if they are obligated. So, I finally have a tripod and yesterday I decided to try some test shots in my parent's backyard. Though I am not proud of the shots I decided to share them with you anyway. I have to get use to balancing the camera straight because the ground can be unbalanced, other than that its show time. The mysterious person (My partner) behind most of my photos no longer have to deal with my anal attitude, ranting, and yelling because of that perfect shot, now I just can do it myself……………………………... Last weekend I went home to my parents to get away from "that Brooklyn life" (and of course for mamas cooking) which can be so draining. The few days there, I felt tranquil, quiet and at peace…

Dreay days at home...

Been very reluctant to go out lately, just have been in a little slumber and the weather has not encouraged me either. Since school is almost on winter vacation I have to try and get myself out more but I hate the cold, so we are going to need the wrath of God…

Thank you for giving...

Happy Thanksgiving to all. Thank you for visiting, for just listening to my voice and to all who comment. Means the world to me… Thank you

Peace & Love

Sweet November…

Oh sweet november, you make things look so delightful, every time, every year. Isn't this month beautiful? the transition from life to death, towards a new beginning. The harmonizing colors of autumn whispers poetry. It's a dream that returns over and over again.

My favorite month to layer up on wool and knits as I did here. Picky is me when it comes to outer wear. I struggle to find the right coat considering the quality nowadays cost you a couple of hundred dollars. When in doubt, thrift it out.. haha… I am unsure if this coat is men or women however the thick wool and color pattern won me over, so perfect for this month.

Moments...

Pardon the boredom. There are days where I just want to experiment with my camera. I am still, believe it or not, trying to figure out the settings. Most of my photos are spirit of the moment... a feeling… which I can't seem to explain. I know I don't want to do this professionally at all (too many hobbies) though I can't understand why I love it so much…. Then ironically, for next semester, I registered for an introduction to photography course. We'll see where that takes me...

The weekend…

Life tells you who you are, but never tells you where you are going...

Home...

You'll never know how beautiful home is until you go back. The cracked paint traces back to many memories. Changing autumn leaves blazing from the east sun dances through that same childhood window, why haven't I noticed it before?… its beauty… its old warm love…  home.
